The situation can be blamed on the lack of sexual health education in our school systems, sketchy companies who care more for the money than their customers’ health, or even on the fact that many feminine care businesses aren’t even run by women. As women, it is important that we care for our bodies… all parts of it. But sometimes, we aren’t fully aware of everything that goes on down there, including what the right and wrong products or practices are to use for our sacred areas.
After suffering from bacterial vaginosis for several months, Beatrice Dixon made it her mission to bring happiness to all women’s “honey pots” by starting a Black woman-owned feminine care company, because it takes one to know one. Keep reading to learn about the story of the Founder and CEO of The Honey Pot Company.
It Was All A Dream
Bea’s journey was all about bringing her dream to life — literally. During the time when she was experiencing discomfort due to her bacterial vaginosis, she shares that one night, she was visited by an ancestor in a dream that gave her the answers to her problem. In the dream, she was provided with all the ingredients needed for her healing. This dream inspired Bea to create the perfect formula for a healthy, squeaky-clean feminine wash that could help women all across the globe who were experiencing similar issues.
In 2014, The Honey Pot Company was launched with the goal of giving all women access to feminine care products that were free of chemicals, parabens, carcinogens, and sulfates in order to keep your most delicate area happy and healthy. Six years later, Dixon has experienced so many levels of success through her business and her products can be found online as well as in nationwide stores such as Target, Walmart, Walgreens, and many more!
A One-Stop Shop
Unlike many other brands, Bea wanted her consumers to buy a variety of products for every feminine care purpose through her line. No more buying a wash from one brand, tampons from another, and wipes from another. The Honey Pot Company provides it all! Bea even creates the perfect products for mommies-to-be as well as more new products in the making.
Bea Dixon truly possesses the expertise necessary to run her business as she has experience in pharmaceuticals, retail, and natural foods. She uses this knowledge to create the best plant-based feminine care products that are specifically formulated for women’s health.
