Atlanta Mayor Offers Free Space, Financial Support for Women-owned Businesses

Awardees to be announced…

Was starting a business one of your new year resolutions?  Or better yet moving out of your home into a real office space?

Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed may have just the help you’ve been looking for.

According to the Mayor’s Office, Mayor Reed understands the important role that women play in entrepreneurship and is putting some serious offerings behind his commitment to encourage and support female-led companies.

Fifteen women entrepreneurs will be selected to be incubated in City sponsored space, partnered with Goldman Sachs’ 10,000 Women initiative and given additional wrap around supports to ensure success.

“The WEI is a result of the city’s ongoing efforts to harness the power of women-owned businesses and emerging entrepreneurs for the socio-economic advancement of Atlanta,” stated a press release from the Mayor’s Office.
