Maisha finally moved back to the states after the 9/11 tragedy to be closer to her family. The fire in her to place her stamp on the entertainment world was now in bonfire mode. As a concerned individual who believes in the African proverb, “It takes an entire village to raise a child,” Maisha serves on the board of The Primo Center for Women and Children. Along with her board involvement, Maisha relishes speaking at various schools around the nation. Maisha received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Spelman College in Atlanta,Georgia and currently resides in Chicago, Illinois.
