The World is Her Playground
At five years old most kids’ hobbies include playing with friends, going to school, and watching cartoons. For Lily Adeleye, now six, her hobby is entrepreneurship. At five years old, Adeleye is a history maker, becoming the youngest entrepreneur to have their products on the shelves of Target.
The young entrepreneur owns her own brand by the name of Lily Frilly, the perfect brand for young girls to feel girly and show off their individual style. Lily Frilly sells a plethora of items for young girls including dresses, hair bows, lunch boxes, and backpacks. However, their accessories, in particular, is what can be purchased in stores at Target
Entrepreneurship is a trait that runs in the family. Perhaps the surname Adeleye may ring a bell. That is because Lily’s mother is none other than Courtney Adeleye, the founder of The Mane Choice, a hair company that specializes in care and treatments for black natural hair. It is clear to see that through seeing her mom’s reign of the hair care industry Lily has been empowered to dominate in an industry of her own.
“From the time Lily was 3, I knew then she had a business mindset,” her mother recalls. “At an early age, as she watched me build a successful business from the ground up, it exposed her to many possibilities and goals, so with that, we didn’t wait until she was an adult to help her pursue them.
The mother-daughter duo both can be found at Target online and in stores. You can purchase more of Lily Frilly products on her website
