On Friday, November 13, Walker’s Legacy Founder, Natalie Madiera Cofield was in attendance at the Anna Julia Cooper Center at Wake Forest University to witness the White House Council on Women and Girls day-long conference on “Advancing Equity for Women and Girls of Color: A Research Agenda for the Next Decade.” It was an extraordinary and inspiring event. Individuals in the room had the opportunity to share their expertise and truths, and most importantly ask questions to challenge and deepen the conversation surrounding the advancement of women and girls of color.
