The 2017 HBCU All-Star Student program is now accepting nominations for students who are deeply invested in academics, civic engagement and leadership. The White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities works to promote excellence in scholarship and community service.
Students who are accepted will serve as ambassadors of the White House Initiative to provide outreach opportunities to their fellow students. In addition, students will be able to utilize the Initiative as a networking resource, and will gain insight through social media, personal and professional relationships with community-based organizations. The program will provide an opportunity to participate in regional and national events with other professionals from all disciplines.
To qualify, nominees must be a current undergraduate, graduate, or professional student at an HBCU who exemplify scholarship and citizenship. Application materials must be submitted no later than May 12th, 2017.
