The National “I Have A Dream” Foundation has announced the appointment of Eugena Oh as President & CEO, effective immediately. She will succeed Donna Lawrence, who began as the organization’s CEO in July 2014. As President, Oh will be responsible for leading the national network in reaching its ambitious expansion goal of serving 10,000 Dreamers by 2020.
Since joining the team in 2011, Oh has also served as Chief Operating Officer, Chief Governance Officer, Interim President & CEO, and as legal counsel. In these roles, Eugena has been responsible for overseeing the governance and operations of “I Have A Dream” Foundation affiliate sites, as well as building our administrative, operational, and program-support functions to maximize efficacy and support program expansion.
Over the course of more than 35 years, The National “I Have a Dream” Foundation has impacted over 18,000 young people (Dreamers) from communities around the country and world. For young people, their program provides a unique long-term approach that will support students at every step of the way from elementary school through college.
With Oh’s passion for civil rights and social justice, the Foundation is sure to meet and exceed its goals in civic engagement.
