Contractor Opportunity: Collegiate Programming Consultant (University Women)

Reporting to the Founder & CEO and Manager of Operations, the collegiate programming consultant is responsible for outreach, communication, grant writing and administration related to development activities for Walker’s Legacy Collegiate Chapters.

Scope and Impact

The Consultant is responsible for assigned administrative duties and day-to-day operations of the following program: University Women/Collegiate Chapter Programming.

The Consultant will work closely with the Founder and forthcoming manager to ensure program quality and to assist with day-to-day operations, administrative duties, fundraising, program development and design.

Primary Responsibilities:

Assist with the management and execution of University Women programming including but not limited to:

  • Branding and development
  • Conducting presentations with university and college administration on behalf of program
  • Serve as the liaison and main point of contact for student leaders, collegiate chapter leadership and student members
  • Coordination of programs, events and conferences
  • Communication with contractors and partners on behalf of program
  • Following up on administrative responsibilities associated with program
  • Reporting and updates to be provided to existing and future funders
  • Meeting scheduling, outreach and planning
  • Grant development
  • Participant engagement and coordination
  • Filing – Organize and file program applications, registration forms, surveys, questionnaires, etc…
  • Daily Activities – Maintain close working relationships with staff professionals to ensure optimal results for day-to-day operations
  • Programming – Assist the Director and Founder in program development for all programs
  • Ensure regular and timely updates when responding to program area needs
  • Works with other team members to coordinate the activities of interrelated work groups
  • Aid with data collection for program evaluation and review
  • Travel required


  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Ability to handle various projects on an ongoing basis while addressing daily needs.
  • Disciplined self-starter who regularly sets and achieves work goal.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to take on assignments and work well with other staff employees
  • Computer literacy in Google suite of products
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Must be able to work under pressure of time and frequent requests from multiple sources each having their own timelines and constraints and with all levels of academic and administrative staff

Position Skill Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Ability to present information concisely, public speaking skills of importance
  • A minimum of two years experience in an administrative or program management position
  • Experience with higher education and collegiate environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Database management experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
