The organization has selected driven, achievement-oriented, and an ambitious group of millennials eager to take on challenges and tackle new projects within a timely manner all while exuding professionalism. Meet Catera, Danielle, Morgan, Nia, and Isha!
Meet Catera: Communications Intern
The Minneapolis, Minnesota, native Catera, is a Student-Athlete at Indiana Wesleyan University. Catera is majoring in Marketing and Entrepreneurship with a minor in Chinese. She is passionate about utilizing business tools to help improve the socio-economic situation of others. Catera has visited Beijing, China, and plans to work in Foreign Relations with her own Marketing Firm. Her hobbies include camping and kayaking!
Meet Danielle: Communications Intern
Danielle is a current student at Towson University studying Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. With a strong passion for working towards the professional success of women, Danielle is a part of various organizations such as Towson University Women in Business and MentHER. Danielle has also worked in multiple social media marketing roles throughout her academic career. In addition, she serves as a mentor for first-year Towson University students who attended her high school, Northwestern HS in Prince George’s County, Maryland.
Meet Morgan: Events Intern
Morgan is a Senior at Virginia State University set to Graduate May 2020. While attending VSU, Morgan majored in Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and a Minor in Business Management. Throughout her studies in Communications, she found her passion in branding, creating online content, and serving her campus community by leading the communications board on several organizations. Morgan found a way to connect her studies and community service by joining an organization called SLOT: The Student Liaison Outreach Team. SLOT allowed for Morgan to mentor young girls, exercise her creativity by event planning and marketing. After obtaining her bachelor’s degree, she plans to continue her education and obtain her Masters.
Meet Nia: Communications Intern
Nia is a junior at Virginia Union University, majoring in Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations. Ross has contributed to programs such as PBS Production U as a Videographer and Editor and the media organization at Norfolk State University, National Broadcasting Society Alpha Epsilon Rho. Since then, Nia has developed her own businesses. One, “Shot By Miss Nini Michelle” where she provides photography, videography and editing services, and the other ”Nini Michelle”, where she distributes false eyelashes and other eyelash care essentials. Nia’s purpose with her businesses are to enhance and inspire the expression of beauty and confidence within individuals.
Meet Isha: Communications Intern
Isha owns her own brand Iced Out Cosmetics that launched in 2018, which she uses to uplift WOC and LGBT members by using makeup as a tool for diversity. Through Iced Out Cosmetics, Isha has been a member of UMD’s Startup Shell Xi Batch, Terp Startup 2019 Cohort, and Do Good Spring Fellowship for Spring 2020.
