The Women Who Enterprise program, set to commence on Saturday, February 9, 2019, provides women entrepreneurs with a dedicated instructor, cohort-model, a structured learning environment and covers important business topics including developing effective marketing and communications plans, legal aspects of small businesses, accounting and insurance, IT and finance, and human resource planning, among other critical areas important for small businesses to scale. The program is made possible by sponsorship from Capital One.
The program includes presentations by regional industry leaders, professors, investors, government officials, and peer entrepreneurs, designed to provide opportunities for additional networking and will be held every Saturday at the offices of NCEDC from 9:30 AM to 11:30 PM.
This initiative is a continuation to the highly-successful Moms Who Hustle pilot program in partnership with the Walker’s Legacy Foundation, which graduated a cohort of 25 women, and was aimed at helping single mothers gain economic empowerment.
The free program has a capacity of twenty-five (25) participants. Entrepreneurs interested in participating in the 9-week accelerator, or those seeking additional information, are encouraged to visit www.walkerslegacy.com or www.newarkcedc.org.
