Walker’s Legacy Recognizes Latinx Heritage Month With Release Of Latinx Women Entrepreneurs Fast Facts Sheet
The digital platform for professional and entrepreneurial multicultural women honors Latinx Heritage Month with the release of it’s Latinx Women Entrepreneurs Fast Facts Sheet.
Washington, DC—September 25, 2020—Walker’s Legacy, the largest digital platform for multicultural women in business, proudly recognizes September 15, 2020, through October 15, 2020, as Latinx Heritage Month. In support of Latinx Heritage Month and Latinx businesswomen, Walker’s Legacy has released a Latinx Women Entrepreneur Fast Fact Sheet available for download on walkerslegacy.com under research.
Approximately 400 Hispanic women-owned businesses are launched each day; and since 2007, Latinx women-owned firms have grown at a rate of 180 percent.
As it stands, Latinx women are the second-largest growing demographic of entrepreneurs in the United States.

- Nearly half of Latinx-owned companies are owned by women.
- While Latinx women’s share of the population is 8.3%, their share of businesses is 5.3%.
- It was estimated that there were 1.9 million Latinx women-owned businesses in the United States in 2016, employing 550,400 workers and generating $97 billion in revenues.
The Walker’s Legacy Latinx Women Entrepreneur Fast Fact Sheet intends to call attention to the presence of Latinx women in the business landscape through the use of statistical data. Understanding the inequalities and systematic difficulties that Latinx women face is crucial for the timely movements and conversations sweeping across the United States.
