Walker’s Legacy, a global platform for the professional and entrepreneurial multicultural woman, announced the recipients of its 2017 #WLPower25 Award in Atlanta, GA; Detroit, MI; Chicago, IL, Los Angeles, LA; New York, NY; and Houston, TX.  #WLPower25 honorees are women leaders who thrive in an array of industries including technology, media, corporate business, art, and education.

Hosted nationally by WeWork, a global company that provides small businesses, startups, freelancers, large enterprises, and everyone in between with workspace, community, and services, the #WLPower25 Award Receptions were held to recognize a total of 150 multicultural women work as change agents within their local community.

Atlanta #WLPower25 | October 12, 2017

The Atlanta #WLPower25 Awards Reception took place on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at the WeWork Tower Place location. Among the honorees were Sarah-Elizabeth Langford Reed, First Lady of the City of Atlanta; Meria Joel Carstarphen, Ed.D, Superintendent, Atlanta Public Schools; and Joy Rohadfox, CEO, Atlanta’s Rohadfox Construction Control Services Corporation.

Detroit #WLPower25 | October 18, 2017

The Detroit #WLPower25 Awards Reception took place on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the WeWork Campus Martius location. Among the honorees were Amal Berry, Manager, Diversity and Inclusion, DTE Energy; Pam Lewis, President, New Economy Initiative; and Gail Perry-Mason, Vice President, Oppenheimer and Investments and Founder, Money Matters for Youth.

The Chicago #WLPower25 Awards Reception took place on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at the WeWork National Building location. Among the honorees were McGhee Williams Osse, CEO of Burrell Communications; Ayesha Jaco, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Lupe Fiasco Foundation; and Lizette Williams, Multicultural Marketing Leader, North America, Kimberly-Clark Corporation.
