On Friday, August 19, Walker’s Legacy gathered nationally recognized experts and leaders in Martha’s Vineyard to host one of the most extensive discussions on aiding minority-women entrepreneurs and building the ecosystems that support them.
The program included Michele Ghee Thorton, Former CEO, EBONY Magazine; Salah Goss, Senior Vice President, Social Impact North America Market, Mastercard; Natalie Madeira Cofield, Assistant Administrator, U.S. Small Business Administration; Portia Allen-Kyle, Department of Transportation; K. Danae Pauli, MBDA.
Attendees included vital stakeholders within Walker’s Legacy’s growing community who hold significant influence within the public, private and social sectors.
Samantha Abrams, CEO of Walker’s Legacy Foundation & Managing Director, Walker’s Legacy, moderated the panel with remarks from Loren Hudson, Chief Diversity Officer, Comcast. The event will become an annual staple program of Walker’s Legacy.
