Philadelphia, PA—Walker’s Legacy has announced Alexia Doumbouya as its new Philadelphia City Director. The expansion of these additional chapters brings the organization’s local engagement to 15 cities nationwide. City Directors work to implement the Walker’s Legacy mission in their local business communities through impactful in-person programming, organizational collaboration, and partnerships.
“Walker’s Legacy understands that the power of our organization comes from the power of the community that we work hard to build every day,” said Natalie Madeira Cofield, Founder & CEO of Walker’s Legacy. “Extending our programming to local markets provides an opportunity to take our digital engagement offline through meaningful programming and encourages the development of local ecosystems of support that are critical to the women we support.”
Alexia Doumbouya is the Founder and CEO of Milestone Pros, LLC, a professional Evolution agency offering job placement and operational solutions to individuals and companies. Most recently, Milestone Pros, LLC expanded its community impact, facilitating branding and development workshops through Temple and West Chester Universities, along with their youth development program Be A C.H.A.M.P in partnership with local city-funded organizations in Philadelphia. These workshops enrich the lives of teenage students by exposing and reinforcing life skills, financial principles, career exploration, leadership, college prep, and technology in an interactive way. Alexia is also a Public Speaker: Patty & The Millennials podcast (WDASFM Patty Jackson), Wintrade Week (London, England), Well Woman Tour (Gettysburgh, PA), the PA Conference for Women (Philadelphia, PA). Because of her passion for women and desire to service, Alexia joined forces with two colleagues to start The Legacy Podcast Philly to celebrate and empower women to “Create, Live, and Leave their Legacy!”
“In life, success is not measured by what you have accomplished, but by what you’ve helped someone else accomplish,” said Alexia Doumbouya, Philadelphia City Director at Walker’s Legacy. “I’m extremely excited to join forces with a team of leaders dedicated to upholding such a powerful legacy and the opportunity to continue bridging the gap for multicultural women in Philadelphia.”
“It has been an amazing experience building community with these dynamic women across the country. Adding an additional 6 City Directors to our Walker’s Legacy Leadership Family has been remarkable. I am so excited that we have the opportunity to expand our programming into 6 new communities this year reaching more multicultural women and serving as a resources pipeline to build local ecosystems of support,” said Gaybrielle LeAnn Gant, Director of Communities and Events leading the City Directors initiative. “I have absolutely loved getting to see each of our City Directors in action, meet the members of their communities, and watch them at work to advance the mission of Walker’s Legacy. This past month has been a true testament to the power of collaboration among multicultural women and sisterhood—I can’t think of a more fulfilling space.”
