Jacksonville, FL—Walker’s Legacy, a digital platform for the professional and entrepreneurial multicultural woman, has announced Dr. V Brooks Dunbar (“Dr. V”) as its new city director for Jacksonville, FL.
Dr. V Brooks Dunbar is a military spouse, a Florida native, and founder of The Center For Confidence, LLC. She is an author, speaker, conversationalist, and leadership coach who is on a mission to develop more confident leaders, empower women to act on their dreams, and achieve economic equity through entrepreneurial leadership.
“Walker’s Legacy is changing how we do business by creating a global digital platform for professional multicultural women and their business and entrepreneurial sisters to connect, collaborate, and engage through WL diverse partnerships, targeted programming, and strategic community investments,” said Dr. V Brooks Dunbar, Jacksonville City Director at Walker’s Legacy.

Dr. Dunbar is one of ten (10) Walker’s Legacy City Directors selected from a national call which garnered a pool of more than 100 talented applicants. Selected leaders will aid in furthering the Walker’s Legacy mission in their local business communities through impactful in-person programming and local engagement.
In recognition of March, Women’s History Month, national Walker’s Legacy City Directors will host Meet Your Match, a mentor matchmaking event. This national programming promotes direct networking, mentorship, and engagement with successful business leaders hosted in partnership with SCORE, the nation’s largest network of expert business mentors, with more than 10,000 volunteers in 300 chapters.
