“It’s an honor and a privilege to join forces with an organization dedicated to the success and development of multicultural women,” said Jessica Byrd, Detroit City Director at Walker’s Legacy. “As women of color, we have to learn to create our own access and take up space boldly. I’m excited to further Walker’s Legacy mission in my local footprint to create a space for women to thrive professionally and in entrepreneurship, while also promoting sisterhood and community.”

“It has been an amazing experience building community with these dynamic women across the country. Adding an additional 6 City Directors to our Walker’s Legacy Leadership Family has been remarkable. I am so excited that we have the opportunity to expand our programming into 6 new communities this year reaching more multicultural women and serving as a resources pipeline to build local ecosystems of support,” said Gaybrielle LeAnn Gant, Director of Communities and Events leading the City Directors initiative. “I have absolutely loved getting to see each of our City Directors in action, meet the members of their communities, and watch them at work to advance the mission of Walker’s Legacy. This past month has been a true testament to the power of collaboration among multicultural women and sisterhood—I can’t think of a more fulfilling space.”
