Alexia Doumbouya is the Founder and CEO of Coco Bump, an online resource dedicated to supporting expecting mothers throughout the various stages of their pregnancy. As well as after the baby arrives! Alexia is also the Walker’s Legacy Philadephia city director.
“Supporting mothers bump and beyond”
Coco Bump was open for business in July 2019 after the CEO decided to take direct action to address the disparities that ‘Coco’ moms face in maternal health. Alexia knows how pregnancy and/or childbirth affects you physically, emotionally, and spiritually. This why Coco Bumps’ mission is so strongly focused on supporting women every step of the way.
Along with an extensive product line including gift boxes, bags, accessories for mom, stylish teething aids, etc… Coco Bump also offers valuable resources. On the site, you will find uplifting devotionals that can provide an extra ray of light during pregnancy and post-partum. As well as resources that provide compassion for women who have experienced the loss of a child or loved one. The site also provides links to Black Doulas, therapists, and meditation coaches.
Despite the brand launching last July, Coco Bump has quickly gained traction and for good reason. Alexia and her team are committed to standing behind ‘doing the B.U.M.P.’ The acronym stands for ‘we Believe & Uplift Mothers Passionately. Coco Bump has proven to be a strong advocation for Brown women as they continue to be a host of love and compassion. Expecting mothers visiting the site will be met with both gifts and guidance.
In the near future, Alexia and Cocobump.com are planning on launching their own podcast. Make sure to visit the site to support and keep up with the growing Brown women’s advocacy network. To learn more about Alexia Doumbouya’s professional work and as a Walker’s Legacy city director click here.
