Walker’s Legacy is pleased to introduce our two Fall semester interns Camille Campbell and Quimara Bedminster. Our Walker’s Legacy internship program is designed to provide the next generation of girl bosses with real-world experience that brings the classroom concepts they have mastered to life. The organization has selected two driven, achievement-oriented, and ambitious students to join the amazing Walker’s Legacy team.
Camille Campbell is our new Communications Intern. Camille is a senior Communications major with a concentration in Public Relations at Bowie State University. She is set to graduate in December! “Blessed and excited” were the two words Camille used when asked how she felt about coming to work with Walker’s Legacy.
Camille has served in a plethora of leadership roles on her campus and has a special passion for women of color in business. While at Bowie State, Camille has served on the Student Government Association and was a New Student Orientation Leader. She also was CoHead of a mentoring group for freshman women called Sister2Sister. Camille is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Her strong passion for helping women of color excel in the business world was fueled by her exposure to two boss women in business: her mother and sister. Camille’s favorite quote is, “What’s meant to be for you, will always find you right when it needs to.”
Quimara Bedminster is a recent graduate of the illustrious Virginia Union University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations. Quimara is an Anchorage, Alaska native, and has spent most of her life traveling due to her father being in the military. These experiences have been instrumental in forming Quimara’s views of the world and appreciation for different cultures. Quimara lives by the quote “If He put you through it, He’ll get you through it”.
