Orlando program features multi-cultural professional women leaders and continues national Women’s History Month programming
Orlando, FL (March 21, 2016) – On March 20, Walker’s Legacy, a growing global women in business collective named in honor of Madam C. J. Walker, celebrated Women’s History Month before a sold-out audience at Jazz Tasting restaurant in Orlando.
The organization, founded by entrepreneur Natalie Madeira Cofield, was established to create support networks for professional and enterprising women of color hosted established and emerging leaders from Orlando’s multicultural women in business community for its Local Women in Leadership Brunch. The program featured remarks from Diana Bolivar, President & CEO, Greater Orlando Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; Ann McNeill, MCO Construction & Services; and Dr. Audrey K. Chisholm, Attorney, Entrepreneur and Best-selling Author.
Economic census reports released by the Minority Business Development Agency have recognized that minority business women served as the fastest growing entrepreneurial segments in the nation with the largest percentage of growth achieved by African American and Hispanic women entrepreneurs.
