RSVP Today | Walker’s Legacy Launches Mimosas and Movemakers: A Summer Networking Event Series

Walker’s Legacy is proud to launch Mimosas and Movemakers a summer networking reception series to advance networking opportunities for multicultural women.

A recent study by the Harvard Business Review found that women who attended conferences and other networking events garnered more professional connections and had greater optimism towards the future of their careers, especially as it related to career advancement and pay raise opportunities.

The national series launched with an invitation-only program held in New Orleans on July 7 during ESSENCE Festival 2018, featuring prominent businesswomen including Brittany Packnett, Vice President of National Alliances at Teach for America, Muthoni Wambu Kraal, Vice President of National Outreach and Training at EMILY’s List and Janaye Ingram, Director of National Partnerships at Airbnb.

“Walker’s Legacy was created with a mission to provide opportunities for women to grow and expand professional and entrepreneurial opportunities. We understand that relationships are critical to advancement for women at every stage and we are proud to host national receptions to foster engagement and connections,”  stated Natalie Madeira Cofield, Founder & CEO, Walker’s Legacy.

The summer networking series Mimosas and Movemakers will gather professional women in Chicago, Dallas, CharlotteWashington, DC, New York, Philadelphia, Houston, and Detroit and will conclude with an additional invitation-only program in Martha’s Vineyard.

Women from across the nation are invited to join for networking, to learn more about Walker’s Legacy and ways to engage our platform and its mission to support enterprising multicultural women in business, and most importantly, to hold important conversations with like-minded business women.
