The Red Backpack Fund by Spanx

Available Funding: $5,000 / Applicant 

Details: The Spanx by Sara Blakely Foundation donated $5 million to support female entrepreneurs in the wake of COVID-19 and teamed up with Global Giving to establish The Red Backpack Fund. GlobalGiving will oversee the fund, making 1,000 grants of $5,000 each to female entrepreneurs in the U.S. to help alleviate the immediate needs and support the long-term recovery of those impacted by this crisis. 


The Coronavirus Care Fund by The National Domestic Workers Alliance

Available Funding: $400 / Applicant

Details: The Coronavirus Care Fund was established by the National Domestic Workers Alliance to provide emergency assistance for home care workers, nannies, and house cleaners to support them in staying safe and staying home to slow the spread of the coronavirus, and to care for themselves and their families. Qualifying applicants who are experiencing financial hardship due to the coronavirus pandemic can receive $400 in emergency assistance from the Fund.


COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund by Hot Bread Kitchen

Available Funding: Undisclosed Amount

Details: Hot Bread Kitchen is pivoting program support to provide the most critical relief that women in the food industry, small business owners, families, and communities need in these challenging and uncertain times. Hot Bread Kitchen is providing emergency stipends to use for rent, utilities, payroll, and essential household needs. 

 

One Fair Wage Emergency Fund by One Fair Wage

Details: One Fair Wage is providing cash assistance to restaurant workers, car service drivers, delivery workers, personal service workers, and more who need assistance in this crisis.


Restaurant Workers Relief Program by The Lee Initiative

Available Funding: Food and General Supplies

Details: In partnership with Makers Mark and Chef Edward Lee, we have turned restaurants across the country into relief centers with local chefs for any restaurant worker who has been laid off or has had a significant reduction in hours and/or pay. Each night, the Lee Initiative packs hundreds of to-go meals that people can take advantage of.


SheaMoisture Community Commerce Fund by Shea Moisture

Details: SheaMoisture announces a $1 million fund to support entrepreneurs of color and small businesses, driven by its long-established Community Commerce business model. This grant intends to show the power of small businesses to help communities, while also hoping to minimize financial disruptions many are experiencing from the global outbreak of COVID-19.


Fashion Nova Cares by Fashion Nova

Available Funding: $1,000 / hour

Details: Fashion Nova and Cardi B are committed to helping those impacted by COVID-19 by giving away $1,000 every hour. 


Hello Alice COVID-19 Business for All Emergency Fund by Hello Alice

Available Funding: $10,000 – $50,000

Details: Business for All unites this collective voice, ensuring business owners have access to the funding, advocacy, and networks needed to succeed. Led by Hello Alice, with the support of Verizon, Silicon Valley Bank, eBay, and other small businesses nationwide, Business for All provides $10,000 – $50,000 grants, expert mentorship, a strong community, and a comprehensive suite of small business resources. 


Restaurant Strong Fund by Samuel Adams & The Greg Hill Foundation

Available Funding: Undisclosed Amount

Details: Samuel Adams and the Greg Hill Foundation are bringing the successful Restaurant Strong Fund to 20 total states to aid the restaurant workers impacted by COVID-19 closures. 


COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund by Google.org

Available Funding: $7.5M

Details: For every $1 collected in donations, Google.org will donate $2, up to $5 million, to benefit the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization (through the UN Foundation).


Thrive Market COVID-19 Relief Fund by Thrive Market

Available Funding: $150 Grocery Stipend / Household

Details: Thrive Market has launched the Thrive Market COVID-19 Fund to provide grocery stipends and free 1-year Thrive Market Membership to those in need. This applies to medical professionals, first responders, at-risk community individuals, and elderly citizens who may be immobilized. 


COVID-19 Global Relief Fund by Sony

Available Funding: $100M

Details: This Sony fund will provide support for medical and first responders, children and educators, and the creative entertainment industry. 


Chefs For America by World Central Kitchen

Available Funding: Food & Meals

Details: WCK is working across America to safely distribute individually packaged fresh meals in communities in need of support, for children and families to-go, and delivered to seniors who may be stationary. 


Small Business Grants Program by Facebook

Available Funding: $100M

Details: Facebook understands that businesses may be experiencing disruptions resulting from the global outbreak of COVID-19. Facebook is offering $100M in cash grants and ad credits to help small businesses stay afloat.


Another Round, Another Rally Fund by Another Round, Another Rally

Available Funding: $500 / Applicant

Details: Another Round, Another Rally is offering $500 relief grants for hospitality workers who lost their jobs or had their hours cut in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak.


Save Small Businesses Initiative by The U.S. Chamber of Commerce

Available Funding: Undisclosed Amount

Details: This support for the small business initiative aims to mobilize and maximize the impact of the nation’s response to COVID-19. Small business owners across America are fighting to keep their workers employed and their dreams alive amid these difficult times. 


Lowes Commitment to Coronavirus Pandemic by Lowes

Available Funding: $3 Million

Details: Lowes is committing $3 million to support local small businesses, particularly skilled trade professionals, to continue operating through the COVID-19 pandemic.


Netflix Relief Fund by Netflix

Available Funding: $100 Million

Details: Netflix has created a $100 million relief fund to help members of the creative community who have been left unemployed and without a way to earn an income during the coronavirus crisis. The streaming giant said the bulk of the funds will go toward supporting laid-off crew members.


Santander COVID-19 Relief Fund by Santander

Available Funding: $25 Million

Details: Santander will provide $25 million in financing to Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) to fund small business loans across Santander Bank’s footprint. Santander will also expedite grant funding and payments where possible to help sustain nonprofit operations during this challenging time.


Save Small Business Fund by Vistaprint & US Chamber Foundation

Available Funding: $5,000 grant/ small business

Details: Funded by corporate and philanthropic partners, the Save Small Business Fund is a collective effort to provide $5,000 grants to as many small employers as possible. Eligible businesses employ between 3 and 20 people, are located in economically vulnerable communities, and have experienced financial hardship due to COVID-19. The application opens on April 20th.


The Doonie Fund by Digital Undivided

Available Funding: $100/ applicant

Details: This small fund will give $100 support to 100 black women who are building businesses to use in whatever way necessary.


Community Grants by Bumble

Available Funding: Up to $5,000/ small business

Details: Bumble is supporting 200 businesses in 11 countries with up to $5,000 in monetary support. To apply or to nominate a business in need, go into the Bumble app on any mode to “match” with the Bumble Community Grants profile.


Personal Giving Initiative by Pyer Moss & Kerby Jean-Reymond
