Walker’s Legacy Releases Women’s Equality Day Fast Facts Sheet

Walker’s Legacy, the largest digital platform for multicultural women in business, proudly recognizes August 26, 2020, as Women’s Equality Day. In support of Women’s Equality Day and minority businesswomen, Walker’s Legacy has released a Women Equality Day Fast Fact Sheet available for download here.

Today, Walker’s Legacy seeks to bring awareness to the inequalities minority women in the business landscape face.  

Did You Know?

  • On average, Latinx women in the U.S. are paid 46% less than white men and 31% less than white women. (1)  
  • On average, Native American women in the U.S. are paid 42% less than white men. (9)
  • The average Asian American / Pacific Islander woman is paid $0.93 for every $1.00 paid white, non-Hispanic men, losing hundreds of thousands of dollars over a 40-year career. (18)
  • If paid fairly, the average black woman could earn almost $950,000 more over the course of their career (30) and afford, on average, almost 2 years of rent. (31)
